Colmar, the “little Venice” of Alsace,
its Christmas magic, and its wine

Colmar is a charming winegrowing town, home to a large number of historical monuments and neighbourhoods with typically Alsatian architecture.

Colmar’s is also known as “little Venice”, no doubt due to the distinctive timbered houses lining the river on either side. The town also has a great many museums, including the well-known Unterlinden museum and a toy museum – providing fun for adults and children alike.

The town is also famous for its evening illuminations, Christmas markets, and the many events organised there.

For more information about the town’s attractions, events, and accommodations, visit the Colmar tourist office website.
